Li Xing, vice president of the Ningxia Association for Science and Technology (NAST) and president of Ningxia University, received Science and Technology Progress Prize of the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation on February 17, 2023.
Li Xing is a leading mathematician in Xingxia Hui Autonomous Region. He presided over and completed 1 project of the 973 Program (a national key basic research and development program), and 6 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NNSFC).
Li has published 5 monographs and 260 plus academic articles. He won 2nd prize of Ningxia science and technology progress award 4 times and 1st prize of excellent natural science articles 3 times.
Li won HLHL Science and Technology Progress Prize for his contribution to the inverse analytic function boundary value problem and the Hilbert kernel singular integral equation. In recent years, he has applied his theoretical achievements in piezoelectric, quasicrystal, functionally gradient materials, magnetoelectric materials, NB-AI/Nb-AI/AI203, and achieved fruitful results.
Founded by Hong Kong financiers Ho Sin Hang, Leung Kau-Kui, Ho Tim, and Lee Quo-Wei in 1994, the HLHL prize aims to recognize achievements made by Chinese scientists, and has become the influential non-governmental prize in science and technology in China. It has awarded 1,526 people so far.
