The China Anti-cancer Association (CAA), one of the 210 national societies affiliated to the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) released its elaborated Overall assessment and guidelines for diagnosis and treatment of tumor in China (CACA) in Zhengzhou, capital city of central China’s Henan Province on February 11, 2023.
CACA established a multidisciplinary integrated diagnosis and treatment system to ease the pains of the patients who are suffering tumor diseases, and embarked on a national advocacy tour to communicate relevant knowledge and response to local needs.
Zhang Guihua, member of the leading Party members group and executive secretary of the Secretariat of CAST, fully affirmed the work, noting that the CAA is taking its responsibility to develop a group standard to contribute to disciplinary construction and help realize the healthy China initiative.
Representatives from 106 sub-branches of the CAA, 31 anti-cancer associations at provincial level, and 480 plus medical institutions and 110 plus rehabilitation institutions across China participated in the initial lecture in Zhengzhou and online.
The event attracted more than 5,000 attendees to take part on site, and was livestreamed at multi-media platforms including the app of the CAA, the Physician, and the China Medical Tribune.
