With the strong support of Beijing Normal University, the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) and Xi'an Jiaotong University, CAST’s brand science education program “Yingcaijihua” (also known as Science Talent Program) initiated its first special training camp with sub-themes of chemistry, biology and physics from January 30 to February 3, 2020. 

At the camp, more than 60 scientists, including Fang Weihai, Xu Tao, Wei Fuwen, Yan Xiyun, Gao Fu, Cai Ronggen and Guan Xiaohong delivered tailored reports, lectures and university prerequisite courses to 150 plus participating campers respectively.

The camp provided more than 60 fascinating science education activities including virtual simulation experiments and teamwork research projects under the instruction of senior scientists for the participating Yingcaijihua alumni, all of which inspired their exploration in basic science.

Next step, the National Management Office of the program will join hands with Work Committees of 5 basic disciplines and cooperative universities to provide more science education activities and build the program a platform for senior scientists to cultivate future scientists.
