Shu Wei, deputy secretary of the leading Party members group, full-time vice president and executive secretary of the Secretariat of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) led a team to make a survey visit to the National Communication Center for Science and Technology of CAST on January 5, 2022.

Shu and his team congratulated the upcoming completion of the center and discussed its development outline.

Meng Qinghai, full-time vice president and executive secretary of the Secretariat of CAST, Yin Hao, Wang Jinzhan, Zhang Guihua, members of the leading Party members group and executive secretaries of the Secretariat of CAST, and Luo Hui, member of the leading Party members group and director of the Department of International Affairs, participated in the event.

Shu and his team visited the Exhibition of future world, the Golden Hall, the pressroom for high-end achievements release and the collection warehouse of the National Museum for Modern Chinese Scientist and had a deep discussion on the development of the center.

Shu had in-depth exchanges with responsible personnel of the center on content development, site planning and intelligent collection system.

At the symposium, Shu reviewed the reports delivered by responsible personnel on project acceptance, equipment installation and inaugural publicity strategies.

He stressed that the center should fulfill its completion as soon as possible and come up with a good plan about its inaugural exhibition, opening ceremony, debut show, first lecture and publicity policies as well.

He emphasized that the functions of the site, the content construction and dissemination must be fully promoted simultaneously under the premise of ensuring safety.

He urged that the center should identify its position and give full use of respective advantages, make a high-profiled top design and operate the center with a market-oriented thinking, so as to push forward the innovative development of CAST.

Heads of relevant functioning departments and National Communication Center for Science and Technology of CAST participated in the event.
