Co-sponsored by the Inner Mongolia Association for Science and Technology (IMAST) and the department of education of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, organized by the Inner Mongolia Technology Education & Innovation Service Center, and co-organized by the Hohhot Association for Science and Technology (HAST) and Hohhot Technology Education & Innovation Service Center, the program of 2022 Youth Science Camp held in Inner Mongolia University of Technology on August 10, 2022.
58 teachers and students of the No. 1 middle school in Horinger county participated in the program to have personal experiences about scientific research on university campus.
Du Jianfeng, director of the Inner Mongolia Technology Education & Innovation Service Center, Han Yongquan, vice president of the Inner Mongolia University of Technology, and Li Kaiyuan, secretary of the leading Party members group of HAST, attended the opening ceremony.
The campers visited the laboratories of intelligent manufacturing, civil structure, virtual simulation and aviation simulation, and a production line of intelligent manufacturing, department of engineering training and teaching, training room for 3D printing of the school of machinery of Inner Mongolia University of Technology.
By participating in the program, the campers acquired knowledge about new technologies of industrial integration of buildings, and precision Computer Numerical Control (CNC) operation.
Heads of relevant laboratories introduced knowledge and interacted with the campers about civil engineering and intelligent construction materials science.
They instructed the campers to experience the simulation of earthquake, plane truss, mechanical engineering automation and 3D printing technologies. The experiences gained in the visit inspired the campers' interest in scientific research.
The program of 2022 Youth Science Camp provides campers with a chance to feel the atmosphere of scientific research in university, and stimulates their passion to study hard to enter university and embark on scientific exploration for the motherland in the future.
