To promote of the spirit of scientists, the new media team of the China Science Communication initiative has been launching a "Spirit of Scientists" promotional campaign since March 2018.

The campaign came in the form of photos, articles, special reports and moderated topics on new media platforms, such as WeChat, Weibo and client-side applications. So far the content published has accumulated more than 800 million reaches and 120 million views.
In recent years, celebrated scientists Huang Danian, Nan Rendong and Zhong Yang devoting their whole lives to the scientific undertaking have deeply inspired the science community and the whole society at large.
China Science Communication believed that in an era of mega science, the selflessness of the Chinese scientists and their dedication to the motherland need to be advocated and carried forward amid China's endeavors to become a science and technology giant. In this faith, its new media team carefully created a line of quality products to portray the scientists' patriotism, sense of social responsibility and sense of historical mission.
To be specific, two topics have been created, two special reports launched and some 900 articles published, including 36 articles on WeChat, 588 on Weibo, and 245 on third-party platforms.
