The 2018 Young Scientists Fair and Contest was held on 20-24 April, 2018 in Copenhagen, Denmark attracted bout 200 primary and secondary school students from Denmark, China, India and other countries.
There are four students selected by Children and Youth Science Center of CAST (CYSC) participating in this contest. Liao Qiayuan from Jinshan Middle School won the first prize with the project titled “Research on laser galvanometer scanning control system with GCode and 3D printing of SLS”. Liu Xuanhe from Jilin Experimental High School won the second prize with the project titled “Exploring New Technologies, Returning Clean water and Green Mountains”. Fu Jin from Jia Ji Middle School won the third prize with the project titled “Multistage Pulse Electromagnetic Accelerator”.

Young Scientists Fair and Contest is hosted by Danish Ministry of Education and organized by Danish Organization for Young Scientist. In recent years, Danish Prince Joachim Holger Waldemar Christian and Minister of Education presented the awarding ceremony and handed out prizes to winners. From 2006, CYSC has been annually organizing students to participate in Young Scientists Fair and Contest for 13 years. Every year, the Danish Organization for Young Scientist also selects students to come to China for China Adolescents Science and Technology Contest (CASTIC).
